Interiors moving on!

Just look at our faaaaahbulous roof! Pretty impressed that Clive managed to expose so much of the beams - we kind of assumed that with 3 layers of insulation we wouldn't see as much as this. So, so pleased! Be even better when the scaffold goes :

The upstairs guest quarters - to the left is a dressing room (oh my god, yes!!!!) and the right a bathroom. There will be doors, by the way.....
Hope you all like, cos anyone coming to stay will be in here :

Clive putting the screed down on top of the underfloor heating (yeah, baby!) in the kitchen which will keep us toasty and warm in the winter :

A purdy flower in the garden :

Back doors & scary skulls!

Well, it's been a while since the last post on our blog because poor old Dave has been in hospital pretty much since his "day op" on his knee! The actual op on his knee went fine, but he's got a clot which is taking a while to shift - it's not that serious, so don't panic (!!), but not much fun for him being stuck in hospital for over 3 weeks doing 6 hours of physio a day. Don't feel too sorry for him though, he's lost about 8 kilos and is flirting outrageously with the nurses!!

Anyway, here's a pic of the back door and two of the side windows in:

Clive & Suzie thought we might like an "interesting" objet d'art (found in the old barn) in one of the little apses in our bedroom. Hmmmm..... not sure it goes with my planned decor! Gawd knows what animal it is, but we're going with rat or squirrel.......
